What I've been up to...

Updated: Aug 14, 2022

My first blog post!

Another busy year. The highlight for this year is my solo exhibition at the Textile Tower House, Hawick. This runs from 1 April to 7 August. It is a journey through the West Coast of Scotland and consists of 15 original paintings in either Acrylic or Oil.

I am delighted to have my work in various shops/Galleries throughout Scotland and I am still trying to catch up on various commissions! For up and coming events please visit my the Home Page.

As you know I prefer to paint places I have been and capture the moment. Last year I was fortunate to travel to the beaches around Lochinver, Lewis, Harris, Berneray, Ardnamurchan and of course Arisaig which is one of my absolute favourites. I just have to visit here at least twice a year!

This year so far has taken me to Knoydart - a fabulous place and a great atmosphere. So lucky with the weather for mid March. Just back from Mallaig, weather not great but perfect to capture moody skies. Was hoping for a sunset but did not appear!

I am off to Lanzarote on 1 July and will do some paintings there. The landscape is so diverse with the volcanic rock and of course the sun will be shining! My aim this year s to get to Islay and if possible Jura. On my list also is a boat trip to Eigg, Much,Rum & Canna but time seems to fly past so quickly these days!.

My 2023 Calendar will be on sale this week so please look out for it on my Etsy Shop and at my events.

That's all for now.

Enjoy the summer months,

Anne
